First they have great surgeons here.
Today, 9/27/17.. My mom had to come to the hospital for some tests.. She got a little winded walking back out to go to the car..so she stopped to rest for a quick second and an employee stopped to check on her and got her a wheelchair and took her out to our car!! Her name was Kim.. I don't know the area she works in but she was amazing..Thank you , Kim!!
Entered the emergency room about 11:30 had a CAT scan by noon. Diagnosed with appendicitis by 12:30 in surgery before 2:00 and home before 5. Everyone was fantastic knowledgeable and made sure we knew exactly what was going. Super staff it was reassuring to me since this was my first surgery. I am glad my wife and I decided to go here. We have nothing but good things to say about Southview!

Big no for ER. The doctor was dismissive and even though I knew I had a hernia, he barely examined me, treated me for IBS, and sent me home. Horrible experience.
But Emergency room could use some improvement. I came in with a broken shoulder, my arm was in a sling. They had me remove that sling to put my arm in one of their slings. This only created unnecessary struggle and unnecessary pain. They took X Rays made a doctors appointment for the next day at a clinic. The clinic apparently didn't receive the X Rays? Because they took the exact same X Rays again a day later at the clinic. This caused unnecessary exposure to X Rays.
Very nice and experienced staff! I've had numerous MRIs and blood work at this hospital and every time they are so understanding.
